Special Celebrations:

Sojourn Academy proudly celebrates Costa Rican holidays!

For example, on Independence Day (Sept. 15), students and their parents gather in the gym at 6:00 p.m. to sing the national anthem and enjoy traditional food.

Included in the celebration is a march around the block with “faroles” (decorated lanterns) behind a drum corps. Afterward prizes are awarded by age group for the most creative lanterns.

Health Care:

Doctor on Campus:

Sojourn students are eligible to receive primary care at a reduced cost from family physician, Dr. John Longworth, who is on campus Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Emergency Medical Care:

While on campus, Sojourn students are covered by an emergency medical and ambulance service with a 10-minute response time.

Accident Insurance:

When registering their children at Sojourn, parents have the option of purchasing an inexpensive insurance policy that covers accidental injuries on or off campus at any time.

Sojourn Academy’s library contains fiction and non-fiction books, written in English, for all ages.
